Using his day of birth to make a difference

Motivational Speaker Besley Boshielo celebrates his birthday by giving to others.

POLOKWANE – He and a few friends first visited the Samaritan centre where Boshielo delivered a speech and spent time with the children there, then they went on to visit the South African National Blood Service (SANBS).

“A birthday celebration is celebrated in many ways but charity is seldom one of them. This year, I chose to celebrate my birthday changing someone’s life. I believe in matters that touch the heart, and what touches my heart is when I contribute positively to changing someone’s life. In doing so, I dedicated my birthday by adding value to many people,” he explains.

“I might not know who is getting help from my blood but I am fulfilled because I know that at least three lives are saved. It was my birthday but this initiative was supported and made possible by two of my colleagues Alleta Mathumba, Ndivhuwo Nemaguvhuni, and my father Jacob Mokadi, as they also donated blood and actively contributed to the programme on the day,” Boshielo added.

“We are all liable to make a positive change in our community and our country. Let us unite and stop living in isolation, let’s also contribute positively to one another,” he concluded.
