Ryan Shearer passes after short fight with cancer

Ryan Shearer, General Manager of Protea Hotel Ranch Resort passed away in the Donald Gordon Hospital in Johannesburg at the age of 38 on Friday morning.
According to his brother, Paul, Ryan was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in February which metastasised to his liver, pancreas, lungs and lymph nodes. He had been hospitalised since then.
Shearer held the position as general manager of the Ranch since 2010.
Besides his brother Ryan also leaves behind his wife Janine, son Guy, mother Vicki, father Tom and sister Kate.
A memorial service will be held at the Ranch on Saturday at 11:00.
