Police are investigating cases of attempted murder and murder and registered an inquest docket after a Limpopo Hawks member allegedly shot his wife and her mother before turning the gun on himself at Magatle outside Lebowakgomo on Thursday evening.
Provincial Police Spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe indicated that the member resided at Emdo Park with his wife when a domestic dispute reportedly erupted resulting in his wife to leave for her parental home in Magatle. The member reportedly followed her and when he entered the house he opened fire fatally wounding his mother-in-law and injuring his wife, according to Ngoepe, adding that the member’s body was also found in the house with a gunshot to his head. His wife is still recuperating in hospital.
Provincial Police Commissioner Nneke Ledwaba has conveyed words of condolences to both families on behalf of the Police management.
Investigations continue.
