Police had to intervene when renewed violence over reported demarcation issues allegedly flared up again in Vuwani and surrounds yet again last night (Sunday).
Provincial Police Spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe confirmed the reported of violence. This morning (Monday) he said the situation was still quiet. He added that protesters attempted to block the roads but Police dealt with the situation accordingly.
It is further reported that several vehicles were damaged overnight but Ngoepe could not confirm the damage. Around 30 schools were either burnt or vandalised in the area during demonstrations last year.
