Double murder, inquest after death of three

Police are investigating two cases of murder and opened an inquest docket after the death of Benjamin Dorfling, Leonora le Roux and her brother Martinus le Roux last night (Saturday) at the Doornkraal Feesterrein at around 22:30.
Provincial Police Spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe said it is alleged that Dorfling is an ex-lover of Leonora. “It is alleged that Dorfling went to the residence of Leonora and Martinus after which an argument ensued. Dorfling reportedly produced a firearm and shot and killed Leonora and her brother before allegedly turning the gun on himself,” Ngoepe said. He added that Dorfling’s body was found in the same house with the firearm next to him.
The motive for the killing is not yet known but domestic violence cannot be ruled out. Investigations continue, according to Ngoepe.
