A 74-year old farmer, Kenneth Leggo, was allegedly attacked by two unknown suspects on a smallholding in La Gratitude near Letsitele on Thursday (yesterday) at around 16:30.
One of the suspected attackers was allegedly armed with a knife and the other with a hacksaw.
According to Moatshe Ngoepe, Provincial Police Spokesperson the attackers tied Leggo’s hands and robbed him. He apparently could only manage to untie himself much later at which time he sought assistance from his neighbours.
Various items, including a laptop, computer screen and other computer equipment, solar batteries, three vehicle batteries and two cell phones were reportedly stolen during the robbery. The suspects allegedly loaded it on a wheelbarrow.
No one was injured during the attack and no arrests have been made yet, Ngoepe informed. Investigations continue.
