Bad weather causes water shortages

Polokwane Municipality confirmed earlier this morning that some low catchment areas such as Ster Park, Serala View, Flora Park, Silwerkruin and Mankweng may suffer low water pressure or water shortages. This is due to interruption of supply from Ebenezer Dam. The plant is currently out of operation because the electrical installation was damaged by bad weather. Tzaneen Municipality is currently attending to the problem but could not indicate when the work will be completed. Polokwane Municipality confirmed that water tankers were deployed and that water could also be collected at the Dalmada and Seshego water works.
