Shine like a Black Diamond

In A bid to give young women the opportunity to pursue their dreams, they are encouraged to enter the Miss Black Diamond modelling show.

POLOKWANE – The pageant is the brain child of Emma Kennedy, the founder of the Miss Black Diamond Bootcamp, and is set to take place on 18 March at the Westenburg Community Hall.

“I want to raise funds in order to buy gym equipment which I want to set up at the Westenburg sportsgrounds as a way to get young women to become more active and keep them off the streets by offering them an alternative. The bootcamp and modelling show is a means to an end with regard to fundraising this project,” Emma explains. She hopes the gym will motivate young women to go there after school where they can keep fit, do their homework and focus on their studies.

Tickets are available at R50 for adults and R20 for children and everyone are invited to join in the fun and festivities.

The registration fee for aspiring models who want to participate in the show is R150.
