Help Daniel #BreakTheNet

First Kim Kardashian broke the internet with that famous picture, now, You Tuber, Daniel Rademeyer is trying to do the same in Cell C’s #BreakTheNet competition.

#BreakTheNet is the new digital reality show looking for the next YouTube sensation to splash all over the world where finalists get closer to a R250 000 fortune and a trip to Hollywood as well as being crowned South Africa’s number one You Tube sensation.

Daniel, who lives in Pretoria, is one of three finalists, and got there by taking part in 5 challenges over 8 weeks. Each finalist had 72 hours to create and upload their video, and then get it to go viral.

After getting in touch with Review to try and boost his views, we spoke to Daniel about why he decided to get in touch with us and about the competition so far.

Daniel’s video, Love More South Africa, shows him expressing his love for the country and has short clips from fellow South Africans saying “love more” and “South Africa”. “I put videos up on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram asking people for their help by sending video clips to me and the response was overwhelming, I couldn’t add all of them into my video,” he said.

Daniel, who started his own You Tube channel six months ago, entered the competition by combining highlights of some of his most popular videos. “This is the first competition of its kind in the World and to be in the top three is amazing, I feel honoured,” he told Review.

On why he chose to get in touch with Review, Daniel said he was advised to get in touch with local newspapers around the country to try and boost his views. “I have been to Polokwane before, I did some work that side and it’s pretty cool. Polokwane has a lot of potential,” he said.

You can help Daniel get to the top by watching his #BreakTheNet video as the more views and shares he has, the better his chances of winning. “The winner will be decided by the amount of views and shares each video has. Views tally up 70% and shares 30%,” he explained.
