Reginah Magolo – Queen of Justice

Reginah plans to use her new title to promote a no-crime culture in schools

POLOKWANE – The city’s very own Reginah Magolo was crowned Mrs Justice South Africa over the weekend at the Hilton Sandton Hotel in Johannesburg.

The pageant, which aims to serve the No Crime Culture Project by developing moral character in schools and communities, is the first to be hosted in the country.

The family woman, from Rainbow Park in Polokwane, says although she never had an interest in pageants, this one felt like it was specially designed for her because it is a positive initiative that aims to build a better society.

“The pageant is about creating role models and fighting social ills,” she says. Reginah adds she is delighted at the opportunity the pageant lends her to make a contribution in positively influencing and moulding the youth.

“We are all designed differently and therefore serve different purposes. Mine is to help schoolchildren by empowering them, boosting their confidence and restoring hope in their lives,” she adds.

Apart from being Mrs Justice, she is also the founder and director of Learners and Educators on Board, an initiative which assists rural learners throughout the province with their academic needs.

The BSc graduate and former teacher says her journey in the pageant, which started in January, has taught her a lot. “I have been interacting with various schools, engaging with prominent business people, networking with other contestants and, most importantly, implementing what I have learnt in my community. I am determined to work even harder and serve as a role model to the youth.”
