DJ Gibbz gives listeners (and party-goers) what they need
TZANEEN – Music producer, DJ, author, and businessman Godlive “DJ Gibbz” Masinge is vigorously promoting his single Swa Mina Swa Wena.
DJ Gibbz hails from Joppie village in N’wamitwa outside Tzaneen and is the founder, Marketing Manager, Graphic Designer and Executive Producer of BGMP Media Group.
He established this record label in order to pursue his business interests in music and to create employment opportunities for himself and other youths. He is studying towards a diploma in marketing management at Oxbridge Academy.
Not only that, he made a name for himself on an underground radio show in the UK some years ago. “I used to host a show called Bra Gibbz Taxi Music online on Afro Deep Radio based in the United Kingdom (UK) where I was showcased my musical talents from production and mixing to compiling underground tunes for listeners every Saturday evening,” he explains.
“My friends’ wisdom brought me to where I am today. I am the proud owner of Bra Gibbz Music Production BGMP Records, and BGMP Media Group. We also do digital distribution to international leading online music stores such as iTunes, Traxsource, Beatport and Juno Download and soon we’ll be venturing into CD distribution,” Masinge explains.
He says he loves deejaying and connecting with his fans. “The energy I feel when I DJ is something I never want to go without. I’m proud that my upcoming album, Brewed in Tzaneen is completed. I’m still searching for a record deal to assist in releasing the album,” he says.
He further says BGMP Records has not only pushed the boundaries for local music but is growing significantly to become a leading participant in the music industry.
