POLOKWANE – DJ Redcarpet says being in the music industry was his long-time childhood dream, and with his passion for music, he never gave up despite the obstacles that crossed his path.
According to the talented young artist, he has been mentored by the likes of Naphtaly Mathekga who hosts After Party at Capricorn FM, and also Master J, who presents Mixdown Avenue, also at Capricorn FM.
“I started doing live mixes with Capricorn FM from its inception, and later did mixes for Thobela FM; I have even done live mixing for Ikwekwezi FM, situated in Pretoria,” he says.
DJ Redcarpet has made appearances on a number of TV shows, including SABC 2’s Morning Live where he performed his singles. Other appearances include Etv’s Rhythm City, where he was part of the high rollers on the streets and Isidingo on SABC 3, where he played a doctor.
His most popular singles include Sthandwa sam, Amablesser ft Queen.
The young star is proud to have shared a stage with the likes of Black Coffee, Professor, Mpumi and DJ Ganyane. He hopes to become just as successful as them in the future.
