Touching lives through the sweets sounds of gospel

Raised in a Christian family, Gundo Ramavhona, better known as Gundo Gee, discovered his love for gospel music at an early age.

LIMPOPO – Born and raised in Venda, Limpopo, both his parents instilled the word of God within him from an early age. Subsequently he joined the gospel group, Worship House, as a drummer when he was nine years old.

He discovered his talent for singing after asked by his pastor to lead a song at church several years ago. Little did he know that moment would put his singing career in motion.

“I believe gospel music can help many people turn to Christianity and embrace God. South Africa needs prayers and I am one of the people who I believe were called to be a disciple. At the moment I am doing my best to help the needy in our community by collecting and donating food parcels, especially to orphans,” he said.

Gundo Gee is the first born in a family of four children. He was also the creator of the gospel group, Hummer H3, which had seven members.

“I believe being well-informed on my work and having an organised strategy produces more intriguing results. I have chosen my own destiny; time and fate have confirmed that producing gospel music is my positive contribution to society.”

In 2008 he moved to Gauteng to further his studies in travel and tourism and to pursue his music career in earnest.

Starting his music career in 2010, he released his first solo album, Change my Life that same year.

Earlier this year he released another hit album, Mukhethwa Ndi Jehovah / Holy is the Lord produced by Mahlori Chauke, which is currently trending all over social media and making waves on radio stations countrywide.
