Ricardo: Globe master of Aussie Circus Spectacular

Review had the opportunity to talk to the Globe Master of the Australian Circus Spectacular, Ricardo Espana.

POLOKWANE – The 33-year-old is a fourth generation circus performer and has the important task of being the Globemaster for the main attraction, the Globe of Death.

Not only does he maintain the Globe of Death, he is also one of the riders in this adrenaline-filled, high-octane masterpiece.

“I enjoy circus life. One of the best parts is that I can spend time with my family and meet new people across the globe. Although the language barriers are sometimes a bit challenging, it all adds to the allure. Experiencing all the different cultures and traditions is remarkable,” Ricardo explains.

He says each city they visit has unique audiences which adds to the magic.

He has visited Australia, Mexico, Canada, America, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico during his travels with the circus.

“Even though I can do anything else, I choose not to.

“I simply love the circus life, it has everything I could ever dream of. I get to travel the world with my family, doing what I love and I get paid for it. What more could you want?”

The circus will be in town until 9 October

The circus is just in time for the school holidays with options for morning, afternoon, and evening shows ideal to keep the kids entertained.

Experience the action first-hand and get your tickets online from Computicket or from Computicket outlets at Shoprite or Checkers stores. Tickets cost between R200 to R400 for adults and R150 to R350 for children and groups of 10 or more, depending on seating preference.
