The DStv iRock Festival line-up is set to impress
The DStv iRock Limpopo festival is set to start with a bang with the pre-party stage on Friday, 23 September 2016 at Jembe Tavern, Sun Meropa Casino.
POLOKWANE -Durban-born singer and dancer, Babes Wodumo, will bring her infectious energy to the pre-party, replacing Emtee as the main performer on the night. Best known for her hit song Wololo, which is currently on high rotation on multiple radio stations and television channels, her creative dance moves will surely keep festival-goers entertained.
However, the festival is not just about music. In anticipation of the main event on 24 September, the DStv iRock Comedy Festival at the Sun Meropa Conference Centre will kick off the weekend’s festivities with performances by Tol ass mo, Pastor A, Thabang ER, Thapelo Kingflat and Chris Mapane on Thursday, 22 September.
Doors open at 18:30 and the show starts at 19:30. Tickets to the comedy festival are available at Computicket for R150.
Early-bird tickets to the pre-party are available at Computicket at R100 per person until 19 September and R120 thereafter. Doors open at 19:30 and the party will continue until 04:00 the following day.
Artists performing on stage on 24 September include BET Award winner, Black Coffee; Afro pop duo Mafikizolo; hip hop royalty AKA, Riky Rick and Kwesta; the soulful singers Nathi and Shekinah; DJs Sphectacula and Naves as well as DJ/Producer Mobi Dixon, among others.
The DStv iRock Limpopo 2016 Festival is presented by Nedbank; Media 24; Bacardi; Red Bull; Limpopo Provincial Government; Tourism Limpopo; Polokwane Municipality and Mall of the North.
Gates at the Polokwane Rugby Fields open at 12:00 on 24 September 2016.
General Access tickets are selling at R200 and VIP range from R750 – R1000; VVIP tickets are also available at R2 000 each.
