Mokgadi talks beauty and books

Author Mokgadi Kgwele gives insight into her first book, Beautiful Best You, which she says is due for release soon.

LIMPOPO – The book is applicable to both male and female readers as it tackles issues such as self-love, respect, beauty and fashion. “It is an educational venture which focuses on the care of our appearance as it plays a big role in how we feel about ourselves,” she explains. She says the saying, when you look good you feel good, is one she firmly believes in.

The owner of Beautiful Style image consulting says the book is based on her personal experience as a beautician and the relationship she has created with her clients regarding their beauty needs. She says she wants to help people align their image with their roles and personality by giving them confidence within their bodies. She adds we must acknowledge that we are different and beautiful in our own unique way.

She says the best way to go about it is dressing for our body types and embracing the way we look.

The Seshego born businesswoman says she wants to help people discover the appropriate look and feel stylish as it is important to dress appropriately for every occasion.

“Dressing in a way that projects an image of the sophisticated and successful working individual you are or you would like to become, already proves that you are destined for success and will also restore your confidence.” She says the book offers tips on beauty products, how to identify the perfect one for your skin and how to use make-up tools, among other things. Kgwele says some of her goals include opening a beauty academy to empower more people and teaching them the importance of taking care of themselves. Her book will be launched on 17 September at Polokwane Library Gardens.

She also owns a unisex boutique.
