Fresh flowers, sizzling competition

Stand a chance of winning one of 25 weekend holidays with Limpopo Tourism Agency (LTA).

LIMPOPO – On Thursday 1 September, the Limpopo Tourism Agency (LTA) distributed 3 000 roses in Limpopo as part of their activation campaign to welcome spring.

This activation kick-started a social media campaign in celebration of Tourism Month in five towns and cities in the province.

The campaign challenges residents to find and photograph a flower that is indigenous to Limpopo then upload it to their Facebook or twitter page with the hashtag #GoLimpopo. Participants stand a chance to win one of 25 weekend holidays.

The theme for this year’s Tourism Month is Tourism for all, universal accessibility.

The Acting CEO of LTA, Lulama Tshabalala, said this campaign follows the successful provincial and national Tourism Month launches that recently took place at Porche Villa Hotel in Thohoyandou.

“Tourism Month is now in full swing and we urge everyone to take advantage of the various special packages the industry has to offer through the course of Tourism Month. We encourage everyone to take part in the activities we have planned for this month to celebrate tourism in Limpopo and South Africa,” Tshabalala said.

The LTA handed out roses to residents in Louis Trichardt, Tzaneen, Modimolle, Polokwane and Groblersdal in celebration of Tourism Month and Spring Day.
