DStv iRock Battle for the Stage talent search

POLOKWANE – The winning artist or band will be crowned the DStv iRock Limpopo music festival opening act on Saturday, 24 September  at the Polokwane Rugby Stadium in Polokwane.

According to MultiChoice General Manager of Marketing, Nomsa Chabeli Mazibuko, the DStv iRock Battle for the Stage competition is an unmissable opportunity for previously undiscovered talent in the Limpopo region.
“We’ve seen the formula work with talent search reality shows like Idols SA and The Voice SA and for the past three years talented musicians from the province, such as Calandray and DJ Gao Deep have successfully opened the DStv iRock Limpopo music festival and launched their careers,” said Mazibuko.
She said this year, in addition to the music events, they’ve added a comedy night to the line-up to give comedians the opportunity to get their act on the map.

HOW TO ENTER

All you need to do to win is to record a one-minute long digital clip of your performance. Upload the clip to your own Facebook page and tag @DStv #DStviRock. Entrants can also send videos with the keyword DStviRock via Whatsapp to 072 663 4621, or SMS to 44899 (SMS costs R1,50).
Finalists will be required to provide a clear, high resolution image and short biography. The prize includes access to the DStv iRock VIP area where the winner will get the chance to interact with media, celebrities and other performers, an opportunity to be featured on V-Entertainment on Vuzu (DStv Channel 116), an interview in The Daily Sun Newspaper, as well as a R10 000 cash prize.
