The Peugeot 2008 Crossover is packed with loads of driving features into its compact frame offering a pleasant driving experience on- and off-road and has even proven its durability and capabilities after winning the 2016 Dakar only in its second participation in the South American event in January.
If you want evidence of Peugeot’s attention to detail, just have a look at the 2008 Crossover’s uniquely shaped and streamlined headlights. They’re fitted with stunning LED daytime running lights which, as well as looking great, and giving the 2008 Crossover a distinctive edge, are also a valuable safety feature. A choice of 16” or 17” alloy wheels are also available and to make the 2008 Crossover even more eye-catching and elegant the bumpers, mirrors and door handles are coloured to match the chosen body colour.
The 2008 Crossover gives you a brand new perspective on the world, thanks to the panoramic glass roof that floods the cabin with light, combined with an intuitive, connected dashboard. Blue LED’s on the instrument panel, footwells, head-up instrument panel and guides on the glass roof come on automatically as soon as the side lights are switched on, giving the 2008 Crossover unique mood-lighting after dark.
The Elegant and luxurious dashboard features subtle chrome highlights and an ergonomic design. The 7” touchscreen is ideally positioned at your fingertips and the driver can easily access all driving and comfort information without taking his eyes off the road.
Automatic dual-zone air conditioning, available with the Allure version, means you can have cool air keeping you alert as you drive while your passenger enjoys more warmth – or vice versa. The car will automatically maintain the dual settings in response to any changes outside. With the Active model you have manual air conditioning as standard.
The 2008 Crossover is powered by a 1,6 litre petrol engine. It offers 88 kW of power at 6 000 rpm and 160 Nm of torque at 4 250 rpm. The engine is coupled with a five speed manual gearbox and offers 5,9 litre per 100 km on a combined fuel consumption cycle. The 2008 Crossover reaches the 100 km/h mark from standstill in 10,6 seconds and a top speed of 196 km/h.
The French did not compromise when they planned the safety features. The 2008 Crossover comes with the latest-generation Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), which is able to detect the first signs of a sideways skid and helps reduce oversteer. It keeps the car on course by reducing engine power and braking individual wheels. To keep all occupants safe as possible, the 2008 Crossover has six air bags as standard – two in the front, two beside the driver and front passenger and two along the sides of the car.
Grip Control, available on Allure level, is an advanced traction control system which allows the 2008 Crossover to grip the road in all conditions by optimising the traction of both front wheels. Five modes are available: standard, snow, all terrain, sand and ESP.
