Protect your ‘do’ with this Afro-style

Feel like adding a more natural texture to your hair? Try this popular hairstyle from hairdresser Milly Motolla for a Natural Afro hairstyle

POLOKWANE – Milly is the owner of Milly Hair Do in Polokwane 72 Market Street and hails from Nobody.

“This style offers a more natural look, it is easy to maintain, and the hairpiece is quite affordable,” says Milly. “You can get the best results by using the Darling Vibration hair which comes in either black or brown colours.”

Milly says it is easy to style and maintain while it covers all the hair, giving it a chance to grow in winter as you won’t experience any hair loss due to the harsh weather.

She says with the natural afro you can achieve versatile styles, the most popular one being the straight up pony, lephondo.

“The pony looks good on all facial shapes is easy to maintain. It offers a more sophisticated feature to the entire look.”

She explains it is an economic style which can last up to six weeks with proper treatment. “It only requires hair gel and oil sheen spray. There is no need to use a comb as it might damage the hair so you can just use your hands to style it.”

Milly does other hairstyles such as braids, razor cut, lace weaves and bonding among others. She says her ultimate goal is to open a beauty academy. “My job is awesome because I get to use my skills to make people feel good and love themselves. Nothing gives me more pleasure than seeing them walk out of the salon with a smile.”
