POLOKWANE – Leiselle Pragji is the personification of Hererra’s sentiments.
Whenever you see Leiselle, she is always dressed well and looks chic. Her hair is always done and her nails look clean and chic. Leiselle says she has always been involved in fashion and draws inspiration from British Vogue magazine which is why she always looks good.
“I’m told my style is a combination of chic, sophistication and glamour,” she explains.
You will never find Leiselle looking unkept. She has her hair coloured twice a month and she has a new set of gel nails applied every second week.
She does not prefer any specific brand of clothes, neither does she have a specific store where she buys from. She does have a soft spot for brand names and says her most valued item of clothing is her Max Mara coat. Leiselle believes that you don’t need to spend a lot of money to look good, you just have to choose your outfits and accessories carefully. She says looking good is all about grooming and knowing how to dress for your’s body type.
Leiselle accessorises with “less is more” in mind and says your accessories should always complement your ensemble rather than draw attention away from it. In addition to that, she believes that correctly applied make up completes any outfit. She loves perfume and her current favourite is Dita by Dita von Teese.
Leiselle’s draws inspiration from her icons, American burlesque dancer, model and costume designer, Dita von Teese, as well as Venezuelan-American fashion designer, Carolina Herrera.
“They are always impeccably dressed,” she explains, “and that is something which greatly appeals to me and my personal style.”
She loves shoes, she says one of her biggest pet peeves is someone who wears sneakers with a dress and she says she will never be caught dead wearing a pair of Crocs.
With her make up always perfectly done, Leiselle says her go-to beauty product isn’t just one on its own, but rather several that work in conjunction with each other. These include exfoliators, masks and moisturisers.
She believes the one item that everyone should have in their closets is good pair of underwear as it instantly boosts your confidence.
Her stance on men’s fashion is similar to her own style in that she prefers clean-cut, structured lines. On the latest men’s fashion trend she asks: “What on earth are swag pants? They look like adult diapers.”
