5FM’s Nick Hamman on his long walk to Polokwane

If you hadn’t heard by now, 5FM is heading to Polokwane for the first ever Small Town Live Loud

POLOKWANE – The station will take over the city for four days from 29 April to 2 May with various activities including live broadcasts, parties, a concert and the Youngblood5 CSI initiative.

The weekend promises more than 96 hours of live broadcasts, and non-stop parties and entertainment, which will include all the presenters.

Presenter are expected to do live shows at venues such as University of Limpopo and Capricorn High School.

“The entire station will set-up home in Polokwane with 30 live broadcasts with all 5FM shows (from 05:00 to 01:00), lot parties featuring 5FM DJs and a live concert, Live Loud Music Fest, with acts that include Cassper Nyovest, Mi Casa, Riky Rick, Jeremy Loops,  5FM DJs and more,” says Gilda Van Schalkwyk, 5FM public relations manager.

Leading up to the weekend, one of the presenters, Nick Hamman and his producer, Mike “Mad Money Mike” Bossenger are walking from Johannesburg to Polokwane.

Nick and Mike hit the road on Friday, 15 April, and will broadcast on the road every day until they reach Polokwane.

They will rest along the way, and hope to reach Polokwane on Friday, 29 April just in time for their first live broadcast from the city.

The two are currenlty walking along the R101 between Hammanskral and Bela Bela.
