POLOKWANE – Review Bonus caught up with him to find out more about his car, a silver-grey BMW 320i 2013 model.
When did you buy your car?
I bought it in 2014.
Why do you love this car?
My eldest son was so into BMWs, especially when I drove around with him. He would always say he likes BMW. When he saw it on TV he would always say: ‘Daddy, that’s the car’, so I made sure I fullfilled his wish.
Is it your dream car?
No! It’s my son’s dream car, I bought it because of him.
Growing up, what was your dream car?
My dream car was a Mercedes-Benz, and hopefully in a few years to come I will drive one.
Does your BMW have any special features?
Yes, it has an M3 sports package.
How far have you driven in it?
So far, I have been to KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng, and Mpumalanga, as well as Botswana.
What do you want to change about your car?
So far, nothing.
What do you like about its colour?
I first asked my son about the colour when I bought it and he chose this colour.
Would you let another person drive it?
Not at the moment; I am still in love with my machine.
Do you get traffic fines?
(Laughing) I have received plenty of traffic fines because of speed.
Who do you think drive the best: men or women?
Men; I would say we are more vigilant because our minds are not so occupied. Our concentration is on the road fulltime.
Do you have a nickname for your car?
Yes I called it The Punisher.
Who is your front-seat passenger all the time?
My son; he likes driving around with me all the time.
What’s the fastest speed you have ever driven?
It’s unbelievable! I clocked it to 240km/h when I test drove it.
