Pageant organisers are looking for the x-factor
The organiser of Miss Sweetness Polokwane calls on young girls and women who think they have the x-factor to audition for the Miss Sweetness Polokwane pageant at Honeymoon Lodge in Seshego Zone 7 on 19 March
POLOKWANE – The registration fee will be R60. Contestants must be between the age of 13 to 25 years and bookings for the audition are essential.
According to the event organiser, Moloko Qwendoline Pohotona, the aim is to uplift young and aspiring models and to boost their self-esteem.
“I just want to empower young girls of the Polokwane area so they can stay out of mischief. We want to empower them and show them it doesn’t matter where you come from, you can still shine,” says Pohotona.
“The winner of the pageant will walk away with a cash prize of a gratifying R15 000. The Miss Photogenic winner will receive a pedicure hamper worth R250, while the Miss Businesswoman winner will receive a perfume hamper worth R250. All the prizes are courtesy of Watkins Valeur. Winners and organisers will also volunteer at the Place of Safety in order to give back to the community,” she says.
