POLOKWANE – Local fashion designers who are interested in competing at the event, which will be held at Mania Pub and Grill in Turfloop, can register before 21 March.
Organiser, Luther Mapokgole says Fashion Friday will be an event where local fashion designers come together to share ideas and compete against each other. Mapokgole says the event will be held on the last Friday of each month.
“We are looking for 10 designers to enter, so far one has registered.
“This event will serve as a way of creating unity among our local fashion designers. It will give them a platform to showcase their talents and their innovative clothes,” he says.
“Registration costs R100 and those who register for this month’s competition will not have to register again in the coming months.”
DJ Kwezy, Dr DJ Aviara, Milk dee, Dee-nyc and MissySA, to name a few, will be part of the entertainment line-up during the event.
The entry fee is R35 and tickets will be available at the gate. Women can enter free of charge between 19:00 and 21:00.
