POLOKWANE – Originally from Burgersfort, Steelpoort, Malwela is up against DJ Fresh, 999 Music, and DJ Kanunu for the Best Compilation Award.
He is visiting all the provinces in his campaign to get votes.
Asked about the success of his campaign so far, he said the reception he received from Limpopo was huge.
“The people of Limpopo love me very much and like my mixing styles. Being nominated in the Best Compilation category is a big achievement for me, it shows how much I’ve grown in the industry. It is a blessing for me, coming from humble beginnings in Limpopo. I’ll be competing against DJs who have been in the industry for many years, but I think I have the drive to succeed,” said Matlala confidently.
He said he planed to release another single, probably in September.
“I am confident I’ll win this award with the support of the people of Limpopo. When I win the award, I will bring it home to the people of Limpopo with a big celebration bash.
“I want to thank everyone in advance for their support and votes, as well as for encouraging me since day one,” he concluded.
