Celebrate Mukwevho’s 50th this Sat in Thohoyandou

The festival aims to promote and expose the talents of the Vhavenda local artists and to celebrate the legendary local reggae artist, Colbert Mukwevho's 50th birthday.

LIMPOPO – Residents in and around Thohoyandou can look forward to the Home Roots Revival Music Festival to be held in the 2010 Centre on Saturday.

The festival aims to promote and expose the talents of the Vhavenda local artists and to celebrate the legendary local reggae artist, Colbert Mukwevho’s 50th birthday.

Mukwevho said the festival will be held in conjunction with PhalaPhala FM, Murangi Productions and Vhandinda Shuttle and Signanage.

Local artists such as Zozo, Khakhathi and Friends, Kenny Murabi, Shufflers, Makhadzi, Jahman Tshiganzha, Humbulani Ramagwedzha and many more are set to entertain the people.

“We will also be shooting live video recordings for all my old and new songs. We want our fans and people in the northern part of Limpopo to support our growing new artists.” Mukwevho also revealed his birthday celebration through this festival will hopefully be an annual event.

A pre-party festival will be held on Friday, 30 October at Khoroni Hotel in Thohoyandou for dignitaries and those who bought VIP tickets.

Tickets cost R100 and R250 for VIP entry and are available from Computicket.
