Beauties to compete for three Polokwane pageant titles

Aspiring models in the province will compete on the catwalks in the Little Miss Polokwane, Miss Teen Polokwane and Miss Polokwane Queen pageants expected to take place in November.

POLOKWANE – Aspiring models in the province will compete on the catwalks in the Little Miss Polokwane, Miss Teen Polokwane and Miss Polokwane Queen pageants expected to take place on 20 November at Sun Meropa Casino.

Little Miss Polokwane crown: children aged between 5-12 years

Miss Teen Polokwane pageant: children aged between 13-19

Miss Polokwane Queen title: beauty queens between the ages 20-27
According to Natasha Hartley, one of the organisers, the pageants are aimed at unearthing local modelling talent.
“This is our first pageant and we hope residents will support us and make the pageant a big success.
Our mission is to give young models an opportunity to showcase their modelling skills,” said Hartley.

Auditions 10 November
Beauty queens who want to participate in the pageants should attend the auditions at the SABC auditorium on 10 November.
Models are required to pay a R100 entry fee.

Prizes
The overall winner in the Little Miss Polokwane category will walk away with a R5 000 cash prize and other prizes to the value of R20 000.
The winner of the Miss Teen Polokwane pageant will win a R15 000 cash prize and, prizes to the value of R40 000 along with a weekend getaway.
The winner of the Miss Polokwane Queen title will win a R10 000 cash prize, other prizes to the value of R30 000 and also a fabulous weekend getaway.
Hartley said the entry fee will cover model workshops, meals during the workshop and modelling training.
She further said they were looking forward to crowning the winners.
