POLOKWANE – SUN Meropa was the place to be on Saturday when South African rhythm and blues (R&B) singer and soapie star, Brian Temba, performed live, alongside other artists such as Sentle, Wilson B Nkosi and Paul Mtirara.

According to Sun Meropa public relations and promotions manager, Raksha Gunpath, the show was aimed to celebrate Women’s Month. “We felt we should celebrate this month in style. The performance was awesome and impressed the audience. Most people in the province love Brian as they know him from the soapie, Muvhango,” Gunpath said.

Temba said the show was amazing, with so many people who came to listen his music.

Temba, who once shared the stage with American R&B crooners Kenny Latimore, Anthony Hamilton and Ne-Yo, said he planned to release a single called ‘Home’ in November.

“My debut album, ‘Something Better’, was released in 2009 and won a 2010 South African Music Award as Best R&B/Neo Soul Album,” Temba concluded.
