Comedian tickles residents’ funny bones

LIMPOPO – LEGENDARY comedian and TV personality, Kagiso Lediga made an appearance at Jembe Tavern in Sun Meropa over the weekend.

Lediga said this was not his first visit to Polokwane and he was happy to be back in the city.

“I have been here before and I was really excited to come back to perform,” he said.

He said the material during the show was a mixture of his old and new material.

“I also decided to do my act more in vernacular these days and people love it.”

He said he enjoyed the experience and the crowd was very receptive.

“I was pleased to see how receptive the crowd was, they were really enjoying themselves.”

Lediga is currently touring the country and said his next appearance was in Secunda.

Asked what his future plans were, the comedian said he was working on a new television show called Bantu Hour, which would be broadcast on SABC2 in November.

According to Lediga, some of the old cast members from the Pure Monate Show would be featured on Bantu Hour.

“I cannot say who at the moment, you will just have to wait and see,” said Lediga.

Lediga says after he is done shooting his TV show, he planned to tour again and might even return to Polokwane.
