There were no frills or pomp and ceremony when Pick n Pay Cycad CEO Hannes van den Heever cut the ribbon and declared the shop open.
Instead there were boerewors on the braai, champagne to celebrate with and gift hampers for clients who supported the store on their first official day of trade.
