WESTENBURG – HIP hop artist, Noko ‘Psychotic’ Rammutla from Westenburg launched his debut album, Reality Check recently.

The 12-track album features local artists such as Da Capo.

Rammutla said his long awaited dream had finally come true after many years of trying to make it in the industry.

“I started to rap while I was still in high school as a way to express my feelings and thoughts, and my friends encouraged me to take music seriously,” said Rammutla.

He said the album had so far been been well received and he was happy with its success.

“The album carries messages about the social issues we face daily such as unemployment and education. It is a versatile collection of stories, but the ultimate message is to stay in touch with reality and raise awareness,” he said.

Rammutla further said although it took long to make his dream a reality, his fans and love for music kept him going.

“Putting together this album was not easy, but I am thankful to everyone who contributed. I enjoy performing live because I feel a great connection with the fans. I believe that my music carries a positive message. My future plans include reaching out to the rest of Africa.”
