Successful Polokwane Beer Fest

POLOKWANE partygoers flocked to the second annual Polokwane Beer Fest in the city on Saturday.

POLOKWANE – POLOKWANE partygoers flocked to the second annual Polokwane Beer Fest in the city on Saturday.

Organiser Philip Maphepha, said the festival, sponsored by Brand House, offered beer tasting and games and a garden environment for people to just hang out and have fun. He said people loved the first beer festival that was held last year, and he hoped they appreciated the second one just as much because it was bigger and better. “I am happy to see that people came out to play and enjoy, even the rain did not stop them from having a good time,” he said.

He further said although some of the planned games were not played due to the weather, the event went as well as expected.

Actress and TV presenter Amanda du Pont entertained the crowd as master of ceremony and said Polokwane’s people were full of energy and it was easy to interact with them. “I had fun and hope I will be a host again next year.”

The line up also included performances by Durban-based trio Dream Team, Naak Music, Donald, Major League and local artists Sido N Manana and DJ Big Stan.
