TZANEEN – BOLOWOOD Movies Production has created yet another exciting movie, Ngwetji ya le Nigeria, “a Nigerian daughter-in-law”.

According to the movie director, Godley Sebola, the movie will be launched on Saturday March 28 at Mohlaka-a-Mosoma village in Bolobedu.

Starring in this culturally rich movie is Stella Nkemji from Nigeria as Nkechi, Walter Makhubela as Matome, Rachel Mamatlepa as Mmamatome, Matome Ralepelle as Khetumo, Khomotso Malatji as Mmannyana and Phumelelo Makwala as Mmane.

The story is about Nkechi, a Nigerian woman who gets married in South Africa to a Molobedu man, Matome. She struggles to win the favour of her mother-in-law, who does not like her cooking.

As a Nigerian, Nkechi fails to cook local traditional meals very well for her in-laws, which instigates strife between them.

She makes matters worse when she opts to cook her own Nigerian food. This makes her mother-in-law hate her so much as to bring back Matome’s former fiancée to take over as his wife.

“There is so much to learn from the film in terms of culture. The Khelobedu and Nigerian culture including their food is clearly evident in this great movie,” says Sebola.

He says the movie will be available on the shelves of local DVD stores from the end of the month.
