Teanet is back

THOSE who thought Shangaan disco music is dead should think again as Xitsonga musician, Forsta Teanet is back.

LIMPOPO – THOSE who thought Shangaan disco music is dead should think again as Xitsonga musician, Forsta Teanet is back.

Teanet has released a banging album, The Black Force Volume 19, which is made up of nine dance tracks performed by Teanet and his family.

His daughter, Winnie is the lead singer, while his wife, Maria is the backing vocalist.

He says the song, Vana paints a picture of mothers who carry their babies for nine months and mistreat or throw them away after birth, while Circus Parliament aims to discourage the continuous infighting among parliamentarians.

“I love children and I hate it when they are mistreated, especially by those who are supposed to love and care for them. The album is aimed at sending a strong warning to women who only care about the grants they receive from government than their children’s welfare,” says Teanet.

“I am also disgusted by politicians who use parliament for their political gains than having the interest of all who put them into power, at heart.”

Teanet says the album will be marketed and distributed by the Peter Teanet Music Production, a company which was started by his late brother, Peter.

“I have a number of gigs planed to promote my album both nationally and internationally. I have performances booked in Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Lesotho and several venues in Limpopo and beyond the province’s borders,” he says.
