Watch a movie and help to feed animals at NSPCA

Annie will open in cinemas across South Africa on January 30- help raise money and donations for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NSPCA) while promoting the movie.

POLOKWANE – It is not often that you have the opportunity to see a good movie and do something good at the same time.

Theatregoers will have the opportunity to watch the remake of the 1982 movie, Annie, soon.

Annie is a young, happy foster child who is also tough enough to make her way on the streets of New York. Originally left by her parents as a baby with the promise that they would be back for her someday, it has been a hard knock life ever since, with her mean foster mother Miss Hannigan. But everything is about to change when tycoon and New York mayoral candidate, Will Stacks, advised by his brilliant VP, Grace and his shrewd and scheming campaign advisor, Guy, makes a campaign move and takes her and her loyal dog, Sandy, in. Stacks believe he is her guardian angel, but Annie’s self-assured nature and bright, sun-will-come-out-tomorrow outlook on life just might mean it is the other way around.

Annie will open in cinemas across South Africa on January 30. As part of the marketing campaign for the movie, Sony Movies SA will launch a very special initiative to help raise money and donations for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NSPCA) while promoting the movie.

A box was placed at Sterkinekor Mall of the North where theatre-goers can help the SPCA by donating non-perishable pet food, like tins or pellets, as well as toys or blankets to help those in need. These donations will be distributed to your individual SPCAs across South Africa.
