Shopper wins twin tub with an in-shop kick

"Cambridge Food hosted its own Shoot Out competition for shoppers of all ages, where instant prizes were up for grabs each Saturday over the World Cup period.

CAMBRIDGE Food made sure that shoppers who were soccer fans were also entertained by their Shoot Out competition during the period that the soccer world cup was running in June and July.

According to Cambridge Food marketing director, Andrew Stein, the company was proud to be able to make customers even more happy.

He said the competition was a means of offering customers something exciting in return for their patronage and loyalty.

“Cambridge Food hosted its own Shoot Out competition for shoppers of all ages, where instant prizes were up for grabs each Saturday over the World Cup period. Participating customers also stood a chance of winning one of 20 new twin tub washing machines.

“To enter, shoppers simply purchased one or more Simba, Pepsi, and Johnson & Johnson product during their normal weekly shopping. The more brands they bought, the easier their shot. Buying one brand earned them a strike from a corner position, two supplier brands were worth a free kick and all three brands earned participants the coveted penalty kick,” Stein explained.

“Each customer walked away with a smile on his or her face, plus a new key ring, water bottle or mini soccer ball. What’s more, one lucky shopper from each store also won a brand-new twin tub,” he said.

The winners of the competition were recently announced, with Cambridge Food Seshego handing over a brand new twin tub washing machine to Surprise Nyathi from Seshego, who expressed his delight over the prize he received.
