MORE than 100 young people from Seshego and surrounding areas took part in a 15km health and educational fun walk in Seshego on Saturday.

Sannie Chauke, the president of #TEAM Radilaola Youth Foundation that organised the walk, said the walk also aimed to raise money for less privileged people in the community.

“We will choose a non- profit organisation as a beneficiary of the walk.

“I am glad that people understand the importance of giving back to the community,” said Chauke.

“All we want is for young people to stay away from drug and substance abuse. We want to encourage people to live healthier lives.

#Team Radilaola promotes healthy living. We want to help the communities where we come from.

“We want to make a difference in people’s lives.”

Chauke thanked everyone who donated money or goods to be donated to the needy.

“I am happy that the fun walk went well. We are humbled by your overwhelming support,” he said.

Samuel Motsea, a ward 13 councillor, said there was a lot of poverty in the area, which affected children and the unemployed.

“We contributed the little that we had to give back to the community.”
