Author launches 2 books in the city

YOUNG author, Lebogang Meurett Moretha launched two of her books, My Father and Why Mama Did It at Café Pavilion

YOUNG author, Lebogang Meurett Moretha launched two of her books, My Father and Why Mama Did It at Café Pavilion on Saturday.

Why Mama Did It is a fictional book that tells the story of five women from Ga-Malekane. It explains the different scarifies that each woman goes through.

My Father on the other hand is a spiritual book, which deals with our relationship with God and how we relate to him as a father.

“My Father will help you see God beyond religion and relate to him as a friend and caring father. I started writing back in high school just for fun until I developed the passion for writing.

“I wrote my first article at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) Observer. I then decided to take my writing seriously at the beginning of this year.

I would like to grow in my writing career,” said Moretha.

She told CV that to dream is to dare to be different, to be different is to travel the road less travelled and to lead the road is to qualify to be called a pioneer.

“The price to pay, the critics to adhere to blood to sweat, the foolish title to carry and yet the joy that comes with the accomplishment of the road well walked. The four core areas I would love to expand my writings in are spirituals books, business books, motivational books and intellectual books. I would like to grow within Africa and abroad as a charismatic and transformational writer. I would also like to mentor and groom upcoming writers in Africa and abroad,” she said.

The books will be available at Amazon.com soon, or you can contact Moretha at 076 160 7328 or by sending an e-mail at pushapassion@gmail.com.
