Popular night race is back
The night race date for this year's event is set for November 14 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Polokwane Athletic Club has managed to secure a new sponsor for the night race, which has been hosted in the city for the last 20 years.
This popular race did not take place last year, but has returned with a new sponsorship from BB Motor Group, and the race will be known as the BB Motorgroup-GWM Nite Race.
The race was in the past supported by 600 runners and walkers.
The race date for this year’s event is set for November 14 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
The race will start at 18:30 and runners and walkers can choose between distances of 5km or 10km.
Prize money to the value of R5 000 will be up for grabs for the category winners in the 10km race and all finishers will receive unique medals.
“Bookmark this event in your diaries and come and enjoy the festivities with us,” says Johan Janse van Vuuren, the chairperson of the Polokwane Athletic Club.
