THE Vhembe district will be represented by Vena Mpha during the annual MTN Limpopo Music Festival

THE Vhembe district will be represented by Vena Mpha during the annual MTN Limpopo Music Festival at the Polokwane Rugby Club on November 23.

Mpha was selected during the Capricorn FM talent search audition at Khoroni Hotel on Saturday.

The audition was part of an ongoing talent search in all five districts to identify an artist or a group to represent their district during the festival.

Mpha was chosen for her singing talent and her ability to entertain people with her singing and dancing.

Her originality in terms of music and creativity in writing music also saw her win.

Capricorn FM’s marketing executive, Ntsieni Ramabulana, who spearheaded the audition said the station was happy to have played a role in helping Mpha realise her dream of performing in front of a huge crowd.

“It has always been our mandate to empower locals who are talented, and we are happy that we have given young people a chance to prove their worth,” said Ramabulana.

He encouraged those who did not make it to continue auditioning.

“It does mean that you are not good if you did not win,” he said.

Mpha, who sings jazz and RnB said she was going to impress during the festival.

“I want to make sure I do my best because you never know who is listening,” she said.

The station also shared its birthday cake with listeners at Mvusuludzo Mall on Saturday.
