Super 8 action excites learners and parents

The annual Super 8 schools rugby and netball days saw Laerskool Pietersburg-Noord Primary host two days of exciting sport action for primary schools which kept spectators on the edge of their seats.

POLOKWANE : The Super 8 competition included primary schools from all over the province.

Laerskool Phalaborwa, Laerskool Bergland, Laerskool Bosveld, Laerskool Lydenburg, Laerskool Louis Trichardt, Laerskool Kruger Park and Laerskool Thabazimbi join Laerskool Pietersburg-Noord Primary in non-stop sport action on Friday, 13 and Saturday, 14 April.

The Super 8 is annually held to give participating schools a chance to see how prepared they are for the upcoming rugby and netball season.

Teams are divided into group A and B, matching skills on the court and field on the first day of the competition. Even more action was on the agenda for the second day as the teams who won their respective games the first day faced-off in the play-offs to claim this year’s top position.

Results:
• Netball winners: Laerskool Phalaborwa.
• Rugby winners: Laerskool Pietersburg-Noord Primary.
• Overall winners: Laerskool Phalaborwa.
