POLOKWANE – Excitement, a touch of anxiety and a bus ride were what some learners from Laerskool Pietersburg-Noord could look forward to when they travelled to Ba-Phalaborwa for a rugby and netball day with learners of Laerskool Phalaborwa recently.

The u/10 and u/11 rugby teams were both victorious in their two games each and came home with a lot to brag about.

The u/11 and u/12 netball teams also pulled off wins in their matches. Both teams received medals for their hard work on the day and were crowned the best team in their respective age groups.

One of the highlights of the day was when one of the team members, Ramokone Moloto, received the trophy for the best player of the day.

“Never give up. Learn from mistakes made and walk away a better sports athlete, learning as you go,” was principal, Attie Visagie’s advice to the teams who did not win their games.
