Blackpool secured a convincing win over Makhitha Oscar Stars in the Safa Vhembe HollywoodBet match, showcasing strength and a solid defence.

LIMPOPO – Ramantsha Blackpool proved their strength in a thrilling encounter against Makhitha Oscar Stars at Ramantsha grounds, securing a 3-1 victory in the Safa Vhembe HollywoodBet match played on Saturday.

Blackpool opened the scoring early in the match, with Sam Mukhumeni delivering a well-timed pass to Phumudzo Mudimeli. After a scramble in the box, Mudimeli found the back of the net, giving Blackpool a 1-0 lead.

Despite conceding the early goal, Stars fought back, creating several scoring opportunities, but their strikers struggled with accuracy, firing aimlessly from close range.

A significant moment came in the 29th minute when Stars’ centre forward, Molatelo Moupa, struck the woodwork with a powerful volley, missing a golden opportunity to equalise. The half-time score stood at 1-0 in favour of Blackpool.

Stars nearly levelled the score just three minutes into the second half when Brutus Ngwakomunye unleashed a cross from the left corner. Unfortunately, there was no one in the box to capitalise on the chance.

Blackpool extended their lead in the 48th minute, with Muladelo Ndou finishing off a precise square pass from Mashudu Mafunisa. The home side increased the margin further in the 69th minute when Rikhode Ramapala scored after receiving a beautiful pass from Euclid Koboune.

The last 10 minutes of the match saw an intense battle on the pitch. Stars were awarded a penalty, which veteran striker Marubini Manyane converted, bringing the score to 3-1. Stars continued to threaten, but Blackpool’s solid defense held firm, denying any further goals.
