Limpopo showjumpers offer masterclass in championship

Limpopo equestrians excel at SA Showjumping Championships, with top performances earning gold and silver medals in 7 categories.

POLOKWANE – Three teams from Limpopo participated in this year’s SA Showjumping Championships held at Kyalami Equestrian Park.

The glamorous event spanned five days, from August 27 to September 1, featuring riders from Polokwane, Alldays, and Hoedspruit.

To compete in the SA Championships, riders had to qualify within their height category, with a selection committee evaluating the performance of both riders and horses over the past year.

Jaili Shearer from The Ranch Equestrian Centre expressed excitement about the future. “We look forward to entering more teams next year. Limpopo secured two golds and a silver across seven categories. We would like to thank the grooms – Jabulani, Future Sibanda, and Gift Thomas – who took excellent care of the horses.”
