POLOKWANE – In a display of exceptional golfing skills, Fred Hurter and Northern Media Group executives Sheralyn Janse van Rensburg, Mario Janse van Rensburg, and Joline Bothma emerged victorious at the Aces Golf Day held at Polokwane Golf Club on July 19.
The event, played in a full scramble format, saw the team outshine 76 other golfers, clinching the top spot with an impressive 65 points.
The second position was secured by Liano Viviers, Dawie Groenewald, Duane Viljoen and Andrew Galloway, who scored 60 points. Meanwhile, Eben Redelinghuys, Justin du Bruyn, Johan Schultz, and Donovan Suddes took third place with a count of 58 points.
Event organiser Danie Bouwer expressed gratitude to all participants for attending and contributing to the event’s success.
“This fundraising event was organised to support the Aces Cricket Club in procuring new white cricket kits. We have raised R52 000, and we are thankful to all the sponsors for their generous support. It was a wonderful golf day, played in great spirit,” he said.
