Benny Boshomane, Limpopo Softball Association executive member said they are thrilled to have a strong representation in the national team.

“We are the only association with more than seven players in the national team. This is the result of the hard work put in by local coaches at grassroots level because these players come from our development structures. Some played at junior provincial level. We are happy that we were able to produce national assets in the association. They will do well in the qualifiers.”

Boshmane added that they will visit different areas in the province in August looking for softball players for their teams.

“We will continue unearthing the softball talent that the province is endowed with. We want to see more players and technical members in the national team. The national team coach, Lemo Raphasha is from our association, and we wish him and the team well.”

Players are expected to report to the national team camp at the end of July.
