New-look Baobab Classic for golf and music lovers

The all new Limpopo Toyota Baobab Classic will not only offer a golfing experience but also a music extravaganza featuring some of the country’s top performers.

POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Golf Club annually hosts its signature tournament, The Baobab Classic in October.

This year, the club teamed up with Limpopo Toyota to extend the event to more than just a golf tournament.

The all-new Limpopo Toyota Baobab Classic will be held on October 26-28, and will this year offer not only a golfing experience but also a music extravaganza featuring some of the country’s top performers.

This year teams will have the opportunity to replace or nominate players on each of the days.

The team is registered with a name, and each team will nominate a captain or team owner. The team can replace a maximum of two players on each day, however, two players in the team must remain the same throughout the tournament.

Entertainment:

On Thursday evening, guests will be entertained by Zoë, a young artist from Tzaneen.

Friday evening will start with Dirk van der Westhuizen, with hits like Lusmakertjie, Gooi jou suiker op my en Spoel my af. He will be followed by The Morning After, a trio with soul-soothing music on which you can dance the night away.

To end the show Jay du Plessis will entertain with songs such as Stoutgat, Is ek nie die een en Rowwe Bliksem.

Throughout the tournament, there will be different food stalls and other entertainment with a fan park for the Rugby World Cup final on Saturday.

There will be big screens TVs, a festival bar and a shooter bar.

To keep the children entertained there will be a kid’s play area at the swimming pool.

To end off the Baobab tournament on Saturday evening, there will be DJs to turn the tables and offer younger residents a chance to skip around on house and dance music.
