Department of Sport, Arts and Culture welcomes and congratulates UL ballroom dancers.

“Our own couples rank right up in the top three, in almost all the sections. Winning level two and three was just the cherry on top,” Hlungwani said.

She added that in the dress sections, rising star youth dancers managed to secure all top three spots, as well as their adult rising star couple dancers.

“As the volunteering acting dance coaches at the university, we were awarded first place in the adult championship section from the quarter-finals. It’s absolutely overwhelming to know that indeed all the hard work and sacrifices were not in vain,” she said.
