Lace up your running shoes for the popular Foskor F21

The race offers an R50 000 purse to the runner that can better the current record times of 1:01:55 for the men's division and 1:12:19 for the women's division.

LIMPOPO – The Foskor F21 Half Marathon is set to take place on Saturday with a total prize money of R462 000 up for grabs.

The race offers an R50 000 purse to the runner that can better the current record times of 1:01:55 for the men’s division and 1:12:19 for the women’s division.

In last year’s race, Dagmachew Mara took first place with a time of 1:05:17 and Glenrose Xaba won the women’s open division in a time of 1:13:55.

In the open category, R50 000 is up for grabs for the first-place winner with R25 000 going to second place and R18 000 prize money going to the third-place runner.

Entries are open and can be done at www.peaktiming.co.za. The race will start from the Foskor Community Centre in Namakgale outside Phalaborwa and registrations will take place at the community centre on race day.

All prize winners must ensure that they have proof of banking details and their ID or passport at the race.

Entries are limited to 1 250 runners and pre-entries cost R180. Late entries cost R250 and temporary licences cost R40 each.
